The Ninja Turtles Teenage Years hook sets the tone: “By the eternal teenager Seth Rogen !” The actor who voices Bebop, the mutant warthog, is one of the film’s producers, after all!
First Hour fans Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg couldn’t get past Paramount and Nickelodeon CEO Brian Robbins pitching Ninja Turtles Teenage Years.
“To be honest, no one has suggested starting with such a strong license to present a film.”, Goldberg admits. These two long-time friends have written and produced many comedies such as SuperGrave, Délire Express, C’est la fin and Sausage Party.
With the August 9th release of the animated film, AlloCiné met a cast of voice actors: Seth Rogen (Bebop), Ice Cube (Evil Superfly) and Ayo Edebir (April O’Neill). What immediately appealed to Seth Rogen about this project was seeing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The artist saw in it an opportunity to make a film in the spirit of a true teenager, breaking all the rules, breaking the codes and presenting a completely new approach. In addition, the company Point Gray Pictures, which he founded with Evan Goldberg, regularly produces films for adults, such as Parental Controls and Good Boys.
“I played my first role in a TV series as a teenager Freaks and geeks. Then we wrote SuperGrave. I believe that a large part of my career is closely related to teenage films. I’ve always thought it would be interesting to approach the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles through this prism.– says the actor.
With the humor that characterizes him, Seth Rogen, in the video above, revisits the experiences of his teenage years and explains his favorite pizza to Passaga! And her response is hilarious (as is her laugh)!
