Continental welcomes you. Peacock has released the first trailer for its series, which acts as a prequel to the hit John Wick saga. The latter explores the origin of the iconic assassin hotel in three parts. It is told through the eyes of a young Winston Scott, who is transported to 1970s New York to come to terms with a past he thought he had left behind. Winston cuts a deadly path through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a desperate attempt to conquer the hotel where he will finally claim his throne.
Not Keanu Reeves in The Continental, but characters we already know for some, like Sharon, a character played by the late Lance Reddick in the movies and camped out in her younger version by Hubert Point of the day. This is the actor Colin Woodell (I love America), who was chosen to play Winston Scott. They will answer to the in-form Mel Gibson.
The trailer for the series gives us a lot of action and fight scenes on the set of Continental (where assassins were allowed to fight in the 70s). The atmosphere seems particularly faithful to the John Wick universe and should logically appeal to fans of the franchise. With a budget of 20 million dollars for 3 episodes (90 minutes each), the American streaming platform gave itself a chance.
The John Wick prequel will air from September 22nd to October 6th in Atlantic. Continental should be offered here on Prime Video, but no date has been announced yet.
