Even the children’s audience has become fans of Barbie. Evidence of this is a little girl who sent a handwritten letter to Netflix, suggesting that streaming would make the film available in her catalog. The girl has come to justify her choice: not everyone has the economic conditions to see the feature film in theaters and some, like her, want to see it again. This will not be possible, but the platform has ensured to respond to the message in an equally nice way.
Letter from Barbie fan
Helena, a 12-year-old girl, suggested Netflix include the live action film in their catalog. The little girl reveals that she liked the production for the way it addressed the theme of “machismo” and she asked that the stream add it for people who could not see it in theatres.
Read the full letter:
Dear Netflix,
My name is Helena, I’m 12 and I live in Minas Gerais.
I would like to give you a hint, although you probably already had this idea.
I would suggest putting the Barbie Live Action movie on the platform.
I thought the film was very good, because it raises a theme that happens in today’s society and has always had in the world: machismo.
The film not only represents this, but has this subject as its “main theme”, I would say.
Thanks, Elena.
07/28/2023PS: I made this suggestion because not everyone has the economic conditions to see the film, and also, for those like me who want to see the film again.
Thank you!
Netflix answer
Netflix will not include Barbie in her catalog so soon, but the platform hasn’t left Helena without an equally thoughtful response in the publication’s caption.
I wait:
