More than a year after the crime that killed Bruno Pereira and Dom Phillips, Brazilian justice still has no conclusive answers as to who ordered the crime. Federal police suspect the mastermind of the crime is Ruben Dario da Silva Villar, known as “Colombia”, allegedly operating an illegal fish extraction and sale in the region. The company also believes he is involved in international drug trafficking in the Amazon.
The two accused of being the authors of the shots that killed the journalist and the indigenous activist, Amaryld of Costa Oliveirathe “Pelado”, e Jefferson LimadaSilva, the “Pelado da Dinha”, were suppliers of “Colombia”. According to PF’s investigations, the ammunition used in the crimes was allegedly supplied by the alleged instigator to the two perpetrators. “Colombia” also paid for the services of “Pelado’s” lawyer.
The three are trapped. Amarildo and Jefferson are arrested preventively because they are suspected of having been the perpetrators of the crime. “Colombia” was arrested in December for failing to comply with parole precautions in another case to which he responds.
