Pedro Caixinha appreciates Massa Bruta’s performance against Vasco

The coach praised Braga’s behavior in the draw with Vasco.

Despite the 1-1 draw, at home, against Vasco, for the 19th day of the 2023 Brazilian championship, Pedro Caixinha, coach of Red Bull Bragantino, appreciated the behavior of his team in the press conference held a few minutes from the end of the the match. The captain also explained why he had an argument with some fans who booed the team after the first half.

“They can say what they want about me. But I won’t let them say it to my players, because they were busy on the pitch today. Our goal was to get to 34 points and end the round with a win. We knew we would have three finals in these last three rounds. Now we will review our objectives and plan the second round. We have in mind that we will compete against ourselves. What is good for the sequence is our attitude,” said the coach of Massa Gross.

Thinking about the new round that will start next weekend, Caixinha has shown that he already knows what needs to be improved to be successful in the next matches.

“We will always enter with the ambition to win. This is all I can project for this second round. We want to do even better in the second part of the championship, but it will depend on our competitiveness. We will have to overcome ourselves to improve even more.”

In the next round of the Brasileirão, Braga will visit Bahia at the Arena Fonte Nova. The challenge with the Bahian club is scheduled for Sunday 20th at 4pm.

“We are aware that the point will cost more in this new phase of the championship. I admit that I haven’t seen all of Bahia’s games, but the few that I have been able to follow have demonstrated a similar style to what I like. It shows a clear idea, with quality players, but it was difficult to get positive results, I hope their recovery will take place in the next round, after our match” concluded Pedro Caixinha.
