After a new round of negotiations, the alliance of film and television producers, the AMPTP, has presented a new proposal to end the current Hollywood writers’ strike. The offer includes ensuring that only humans are credited as scriptwriters produced by industry-leading studios, rather than using artificial intelligence.
Additionally, the availability of audience data for programs released on the streaming service was promised. This is the first time a proposal has met requests from the Hollywood writers union, the WGA.
The stop, which began on May 2, comes on top of the actors’ union strike declared last month. Together, they have made the production of new films and series virtually impossible in the United States.
