Corinthians made himself available to the family members of fans who are victims of accidents in the early hours of this Sunday 20. According to the club’s council, the families will be able to count on support in the expenses for the transfer of the bodies and the vigil. It has not been confirmed whether there will be a collective vigil ceremony. Shortly after news of the incident broke, the club issued a statement regretting the incident. “Corinthians sympathizes with the families of the deceased fans and remains available to support them, as well as the other victims of the accident and the authorities involved in the rescue and investigation of the facts”.

The president of the Deliberative Council of the Corinthians, Alexandre Husni, also regretted the incident with fatal casualties. “Today is one of those days when the word, this precious and powerful tool that we use every day to express our ideas and feelings, becomes practically useless,” Hunsi wrote, also hinting at possible aid to victims and families.

“Faced with such imponderable surprises of fate, we have no choice but to express our deepest condolences to the families of the fatal victims and stand at the disposal of their families and all those involved in such an unfortunate event, which we regret deeply”.

Vanderlei Luxembourg, coach of Corinthians, has released a video in solidarity with those involved in the incident. “Accident that makes the whole nation very sad.
