Friday August 25 Tomorrow belongs to us…
Victor is busy
At breakfast, Aurora, very angry, sets Manon up again and accuses her of having done the investigation on her own at Brunetti’s wine estate the day before and acting procedurally. She admits the same that thanks to her daughter, many people may be saved. But given Manon’s failure to follow procedure, they will have to play smart to build a solid case and succeed in dethroning Brune.
Aurore and Manon arrive at the wine estate, accompanied by two agents from the regional health agency who are in charge of sampling. Aurore informs Victor Brunet that he is suspected of using sodium arsenite, a highly toxic product banned since 2001, to treat the vines. That’s why the investigation into the arsenic poisoning of his employees has just started. Brunetti denies using these chemicals and claims he is a victim of judicial harassment. But Aurore has a commodity commission to find the property.
Unfortunately, the empty jar found by Manon and Nordin the day before has disappeared from the vineyard. For Manon, this is more evidence that Brunetti is a suspect in the case, but Avore knows that without the cans, they can’t prove anything. So she decides to bluff and asks Victor to follow them to the police station. Brunet accepts, but promises to file a complaint against Manon for breaking and entering. He then swears to Rome that he did nothing wrong and it was a mistake. He took the empty cans to the dump the other day because they had been sitting there for too long due to lack of staff.
Rafael joins Victor at the police station. He asked a lawyer to represent him, but he was hesitant. In order to ensure his protection, he finds himself in front of Diego, who is under the responsibility of Chloe, his best friend. Not to mention Romy and Ryan, who she’s attached to. Brunet claims his innocence and swears that he would never put Rome in danger. Moreover, he works in this area every day, so he would not take the risk of poisoning himself. Brunet is convinced that someone has defiled the grounds of the property to harm him. Raphael finally agrees to represent her.
During the interrogation, Aurora tells the businessman that traces of arsenic were found in Florence Mesa’s blood, and the samples taken at the estate showed very high levels of arsenic. The entire property is contaminated, from the soil to the vines to the water. Aurora decides to arrest Brunet for the murder of Florence Mesas, but also for the poisoning of Diego Lute.
At the wine estate, Ryan, who has learned from Jack about the brunette’s police placement, informs his mother that they must leave as soon as possible if they don’t want to be poisoned as well. Romy refuses to believe that Victor could be a threat to them. But Ryan finally manages to convince her to go.
Not far inland, Etienne and Dorian decided to camp among the men and pitch their tents. Dorian suggests that his father go swimming, not suspecting that someone on the other side of the shore is pouring a toxic product into the lake. Dorian stays on board, but Etienne immediately dives in and puts his head under the water. Will he be the next victim of the pollutant that seems to be running rampant in Sete?
Soraya does not understand her feelings for Gabriel
Nuri tells her sister that two days ago she accidentally bumped into Gabriel at the spoon and they had a great time. He adds that he has the impression that he rediscovered the Gabriel he knew, funny, kind, attentive.
In the office, Soraya is quite cold and distant with Gabriel, which does not escape Raffaele. He wonders if something will happen between Soraya and Gabrielle. A romantic relationship that they tried to hide due to professionalism. Soraya immediately stops him: nothing happens between Gabriel and him. She explains to Rafael that Gabrielle is her little sister’s ex and they just can’t have a relationship.
A little later, Gabriel walks by Soraya’s office to talk about what happened between them two days ago. The young woman claims that there is no uncertainty. They’ve had a little too much to drink, but they’re just friends. Gabriel is not convinced and blames the blow.
At the end of the day, Soraya drinks a spoon with Victoire and Lisa. She confides in them that she has a boy in mind, but it’s not made for her. Therefore, she decides to let him go, even admitting that it is not easy for her to give up this man.
Reno is mistaken for Aaron and Soizic
Reno noticed the complicity of Aaron and Soizic. Convinced that they are a couple, he shares his suspicions with Mariana. He can’t believe it and seems annoyed that he didn’t know about this hot scoop before.
Marianna fails to see Soizic to congratulate him on his victory against Victoire. Soizic doesn’t quite understand what Doctor Delcourt means. She asks Soizic to be careful and not let her relationship with Aaron affect her work. Cheerful Soizic tells Mariana that she is not in a relationship with Aaron. They just became friends because they came to St. Clair at the same time. Marian tries to find out more about Aaron’s personal life. Soizic tells her that he is in a relationship with Lisa Hassan, Victoire’s cousin.
Later, Marianne and Reno are drinking a spoon when Dr. Dumas sees Aaron and Lisa kissing. He thinks that Aaron is cheating on Soizic and seems outraged. Very amused, Mariana decides to give her husband a little walk, before admitting that Aaron and Lisa are together. He then advises Reno to leave the gossip to the professionals.
