The big change in the weather brings rain and less heat

South Region

Sul de Minas and Zona da Mata Mineira may have it rain showers afternoon and evening, but the sun still comes out. It might rain a little in the towns of the Triângulo Mineira, on the border with São Paulo. In the north/northwest of Rio de Janeiro and in the south of Espírito Santo it may rain at night.

Midwest region

The dry, warm air is starting to lose steam over the Midwest, but it’s still very hot this Friday.

Moist air moves from northern Brazil towards Mato Grosso and thunderclouds grow in the state. Rain showers can occur in most of Mato Grosso, except in the eastern part of the state. It can rain in Cuiabá.

OR strong sun and dry climate they still prevail in Goiás and the Federal District, but it can rain in the afternoon in some places on the border between Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul.

In Mato Grosso do Sul it could rain heavily from the afternoon in the south of the state. There may also be rain showers on the border with Goiás and Mato Grosso. It shouldn’t rain in Campo Grande.

There is a possibility of record heat in August and this year in Brasilia.

Northeast Region

Dry and warm air prevails over northeastern Brazil. Almost the whole Region has a day with strong sunshine, some clouds and no rain.

Rain showers are expected on the coast of Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte, on the coast of Ceará, Piauí and Maranhão.

The heat is intense within the Northeast and temperatures of around 40°C can occur within Bahia, Maranhão and Piauí.

North Region

Humid air spreads over the northern region and conditions for rain increase. The sun appears strong and it is very hot, but some showers with lightning occur mainly in the afternoon and at night in the center, north and coast of Amapá, in Pará (except the north of the state), in Amazonas, in the center and north of Tocantins, Roraima and Rondônia, except on the border with Bolivia.
