The Civil Police of Minas Gerais varrested a man sentenced to over 43 years in prison for sexual abuse of blind children and adolescents, fugitive for three years. The information was disclosed by the authorities of Minas Gerais in a press conference this Friday 25 in Belo Horizonte.
The criminal, a 37-year-old teacher, had an arrest warrant issued in 2020, after being convicted of abusing five victims, boys and teenagers aged 10 to 13 and students of the São Rafael Institute, an exclusive school for blind students located in the mining capital.
According to the Civil Police, in 2015 the teacher acted as a supervisor at the institution, where he helped students change into the locker room where he committed the abuse. The investigations began in 2016, after a complaint from the mother of one of the victims.
