Mercado Livre launches streaming in Brazil with free content; watch

With an announcement made earlier this month, Mercado Livre’s streaming service, Mercado Play, has already arrived in Brazil.

The video on demand service comes to compete with giants like Netflix, Prime Video and HBO Max.

Where can I access Mercado Play?

What is Mercado Play all about?

Mercado Play distinguishes itself from its competitors by offering a part of its catalog for free to its users, similar to Netmovies and Pluto TV (only that the new stream does not have live channels).

Another part of the available content is accessible only to Meli+ subscribers, ex Level 6.

What can I watch on Mercado Play?

The films and series available to non-Meli+ subscribers are interesting, and those reserved for subscribers have a seal to indicate this.

Among the films available, some very well-known ones stand out, such as “The Social Network”, “Spotlight: Secrets Revealed”, “District 9”, “Chappie”, “Come se fra la prima volta”, “Venom”, “Django Unchained” , among others.

Among the series there are no great highlights as in the film catalog, but content such as “LA Finest: Unidas Contra o Crime”, “Night Shift”, “Power Rangers”, “Marvel Anime: Wolverine”, “Future Man” , “Sneaky Pete”, among others.

content hubs

A content hub is available for Meli+ subscribers which aggregates other subscriptions. For example, you can view content available on Disney+, such as with Apple TV+. However, access to the original app is required to view the content.

Apple+

Like its predecessor, Level 6, Meli+ offers free subscriptions to Star+ and Disney+ and discounts on HBO Max and Paramount+ for R$17.99. The other perks available at level 6 have been retained. Find out more in this report by .
