After signing a deal, Max, formerly known as HBO Max, will give its subscribers access to series and programs from AMC, a pay-TV channel owned by AMC Networks. According to the grant, the content must be available for a limited time, from September 1st to October 31st.
While AMC has its own streaming service, AMC+, it has struggled to make money from the platform and keep up with rival providers. For HBO Executive Vice President Meredith Gertler, the arrival of the “[o] pop-up from the AMC+ collection is an excellent example of how [a empresa] can use innovative strategies to add value to the [sua] content offer.”
According to Variety, AMC titles will be listed on Max’s platform in a tab called “AMC+ chooses Max”. They will be available to both commercial and commercial Max subscribers, although AMC+ titles will not include the commercial option.
