Vasco and Fluminense played a match on Tuesday night (29), in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil. In the end, a 3-3 draw in São Januário. Lucas Eduardo, Róger and Rayan scored for Cruz-Maltinos, while Isaac (twice) and Kayky scored for the tricolors.
The teams will face each other again next Monday (4/9), at 8 pm, in Luso-Brasileiro, with the command on the tricolor field. Those who advance will face the winner of the Minas Gerais clash between América and Cruzeiro in the next stage.
The game
In the first minute Fluminense arrives dangerous and Isaac strikes from outside the area with no escape for the Lecce goalkeeper. But, in the exit, in a beautiful play by the forward Cruz-Maltese, Lucas Eduardo kicked with category in the corner to equalize. The Tricolor tried to advance with numerical superiority, but the alternation prevailed. So teams often seemed to attack, finding spaces. Vasco’s scorer, Lucas Eduardo came close to doubling the lead, while Caio Amaral wasted a great chance for Fluminense.

The intensity of the teams continued even in the second half of the break. As in the first half, Fluminense got off to a better start and almost regained the lead. Cruz-Maltino was not intimidated and turned the score around when Vitão assisted his centre-back, Róger, with a header to complete the goal. But the joy was short-lived. After all, at 19, Isaac received a cross from Arthur and leveled the match for the second time. The stage was frenetic. In the 27th minute, Rayan received a beautiful pass from Leandrinho and touched down when goalkeeper Álvaro released to give Vasco the lead again. Kayky, however, scored the third goal with the flu, setting the draw six goals away at Colina Histórico.
