It All Begins Here: What’s in store for Thursday, August 31, 2023 Episode 742 [SPOILERS]

On Thursday, August 31, it all starts here…

The final round of the competition is held

Mark offers Emmanuel to become a professor at the institute instead of Louis. He says that he needs stability and being with his children. Leroy pleads with the director, but he needs time to think. Clotilda thinks it’s a good idea and doesn’t understand her colleague’s reluctance. He says he’s afraid his best friend will overshadow him…

Carla overhears Deva and David discussing rumors that the themes of the pageant were leaked before it took place. The candidate asks Berenice if she stole the papers because she is currently living with the Teysiers. Constance’s half-sister, of course, denies it.

The teachers came together to develop a test that would make it possible to appoint students who would constitute the institute’s next promotion. They are interrupted by Jimmy, who has caught the rumors of cheating. This is bad, because according to him and other candidates, this new organization of the competition is unfair.

As the tone rises between Mark and Jim, Hortense intervenes: she reminds the young man that the chef here is his teacher, not his father, so he can’t talk to him like that. His firmness impresses his colleagues… Jimmy leaves annoyed. He is more depressed when Thibaut tells him that their beloved father wants to stay here!

What’s more, Teissier confirms to Mark that he is officially taking over for Louis! He tells Olivia and Clotilda that he has a number of projects for the institute…the latter is excited but worried that Leroy will take up too much space.

Hortense’s decisive choice

A short time later, Hortense is congratulated by Taysier for appearing in front of Jim. He believes that he has developed a lot and in turn can become a good teacher… but there is no time to drive for him, he must join Mark in the kitchen to conduct the final selection test.

He and Leroy ask the candidates to make a strawberry pie or a dessert from Auguste Armand. Then it will be up to them whether they want to see it again or reproduce it identically. Everyone hesitates. At Carla’s instigation, Berenia gets dessert from a celebrity chef, while Maya and Leonard choose another alternative.

Alas, the latter thinks he missed the cream and panics. Graciously, Maya trades her successful cream for her side cream! Later, the tasting begins. Malik presents his work and impresses the jury, despite being eliminated too early.

Penelope convinces the judges even if Clotilde is not entirely impressed. Candidates follow each other and only one place remains in the class. The teaching team is torn between Maya and Jim… Leroy takes the debate to remain impartial. Now it’s a tie and Hortense must decide!

Vickie and Enzo formalize their relationship

Vicky stops responding to Enzo after their disastrous date. He confides in Odd because the young woman was supposed to accompany him back to the institute… but since Vicki doesn’t provide any news, the physical therapist offers to take care of her.

There, Enzo meets Billy and Tom, but they are quite cold and distant to him. This conversation will be shortened as much as possible. Enzo is lost and frustrated…until he enters a room where a surprise party has been thrown for him! Everyone is there, including Vic.

She confides in him that she didn’t understand his reaction the other day. Enzo admits that he didn’t want to be seen as a fragile person. Vicki tells him that she absolutely doesn’t think so and they shouldn’t tell each other that they’re in a relationship because it’s already obvious!

Enzo and Vickie both come out for a walk. He is still very attentive to her. She apologizes because she doesn’t want to be a mother, just take care of her. Vickie confesses her romantic feelings for him and Enzo confirms they share it. They kiss and make up.
