This is where it all begins: Carla’s mysterious past, her alliance with Berenice… Aaricia Lemaire’s revelations about her character

Introduced as a spoiled rotten little princess when she got here, it all starts at the beginning of the week, Carla (Aaricia Lemer), who already stood out during a heated exchange with Jim (Lends Beckmont), may surprise us. episodes.

The only child of a very wealthy family, Carla received a privileged upbringing, which makes her a confident young woman who lets herself go and does not hide her ego. Accustomed to luxury, he is the only candidate unimpressed by the castle when he arrives at Calvier to take the entrance exam. An entrance exam that she counts above all else to succeed, even if that means more than just friendship.

But behind her arrogant air, Carla, who hides her flaws, is very worried about the gaze of others. And his sarcastic humor brings him closer to Bérénice Tannenberg, who suffers from school and social phobia and whom he protects from everyone.

Last month here it all starts on set, Aaricia Lemaire, already spotted in the M6 series of The Man of Our Lives alongside Helena Noguera and Odile Vuillemin, talks about what’s in store for Carla in the next episodes of TF1 cooking. TV series.

AlloCiné: How would you describe Carla Furian, your character?

Aricia Lemer : Carla just turned 18. He embarks on the adventure of the Auguste Armand Institute competition because he is a true culinary enthusiast. Carla comes from a very wealthy family and she discovered her passion for cooking thanks to her family. I can tell that he comes to the show with big ambitions, with very high expectations. He’s not necessarily there to make friends and I think he’s going to blow you some streets (laughs).

What did you like about the character when you were casting for This Is Where It All Begins?

I already liked her very fashionable side. I didn’t specify, but know that Carla has a 1000 times more colorful wardrobe than me, and it’s very nice (laughs).

And then, from his personal point of view, I like that he gives himself a lot. It’s a very hot adventure, it’s really nice to play something that you don’t allow yourself to do in real life. Saying whatever comes to mind, because Carla doesn’t hesitate!

How do you see Carla and Berenice’s friendship?

On paper, this is a friendship that you don’t expect at all. It’s a clash of cultures between Carla and Berenice. They are very different, even completely opposite. It’s a contrast, but it works well.

Very quickly, we feel a real connection between them. It is also a comforting duet for me at the beginning of the adventure, because we feel that a real alliance, a real support, will be born between them.

Did you and Berenice Tannenberg hit it off right away on set?

Yes, directly. It was also very comforting for me. Nothing on the screen at this level is excessive. We make a real couple in life too.

Do you already have a love story planned for your character?

Carla isn’t really looking for love at this point. At least not at the beginning of the school year. We’ll see later, depending on what meetings he has. But in the near term, the start of the school year is pretty much based on Carla’s sorority.

Although not stated in the first episode of Season 4, Carla is adopted. Is he still Auguste Armand’s hidden child?

I don’t know, but it would be pretty funny (laughs).

More seriously, are we to think that he comes to the institute hoping to find his biological parents? Will his past be resurrected soon?

Of course, I can’t say too much, but I think we will gradually develop Carla’s adoption, yes. At some point this will definitely happen in the story.

Carla is one of the talented students of this new promotion, it all starts here. In life, what was your level in the kitchen before entering the series?

I’m not a great cook, but I have a good will. I really want to learn. Anyway, I’m trying to improve myself in the kitchen, avoid student meals. And this series, exactly, gives me tremendous motivation to put myself out there. I want to become as brilliant as Carla, even if I don’t know if I will succeed.

What memories do you have from the first day of filming?

A lot of stress, but it went well. I was excited because I started shooting with the director Sebastian Perua, who attended my casting. It was my first landmark, it was very relaxing for me. And since I could already spend some time with Berenice, we were already close and could support each other. Because here is a completely different world. It is a great experience, but the first days are very frequent, you meet many people at the same time.

You mentioned your casting. Have you had any auditions for other characters in the series before?

No, it was the first time everything started here and I have very good memories of it. During the casting I met some great people, it was promising for the future. And even if I knew which series and which role I passed, I had no doubts about what was hidden behind it. That camaraderie, the “hyper tight-knit community” aspect that exists within the team.

What was your background like before taking on the role of Carla in This Is Where It All Begins?

I’m from Belgium and I moved to Paris when I was 17. I did the Cours Florent for a few years. Then I was able to shoot in the TV series L’Homme de nos vies, which aired on M6, alongside Helena Noguera and Jonathan Zaccai and directed by Frederic Burt, who were also very nice to meet.

I also developed my course in the theater, I managed to play in several plays and I hope it will continue. And then go, today is this famous meeting here everything starts and I admire Carla’s character.
