Equalizer
With an audience rating of 3.9 stars out of 5, The Equalizer Part 1 is the best action movie starring Denzel Washington. Released in 2014, this feature film by Antoine Fuqua introduces Robert McCall, a former government agent with a troubled past who now wants to live a life without violence.
But when he meets Terry, a young girl victimized by violent Russian gangsters, he can’t help but react. His thirst for justice is awakened and he comes out of retirement to help her. McCall has not forgotten his past talents. Now, if anyone has a problem, if a victim faces insurmountable obstacles and has no one to turn to, McCall is there. He is the equalizer. Note that part 2 is peaking at 3.6 stars and part 3 is 3.9 at the moment.

Released in France in 2004, this action thriller impressed, especially thanks to Denzel Washington’s feverish performance. The latter plays John Creasy, a suicidal vigilante on the edge of the abyss. The story takes us to Mexico, with an unprecedented wave of kidnappings. Faced with danger, some wealthy families hire bodyguards to provide close protection for their children.
It is in the context of this threat that former CIA agent John Kreis arrives in Mexico City. Called by his old friend Rayburn, the latter is offered an unexpected job: to protect little Peeta Ramos, the daughter of industrialist Samuel Ramos. A little girl, precocious, full of curiosity and vitality, teases John with her personal questions.
However, as the days pass, Peeta manages to break through his defenses. After many years, the taste of life is coming back to him. That’s when Peeta was kidnapped. Despite being badly injured, Crayce sets off in pursuit of the kidnappers. Undaunted, he takes to the track, vowing to find his protégé.

The 4th film of this selection takes us deep, aboard a submarine. Rated 3.4 out of 5 It’s still an action/war feature film directed by Tony Scott: USS Alabama. Denzel Washington faces a holy monster there: Gene Hackman. The film depicts a period of political turmoil in the Russian Federation, when ultranationalists threaten to launch nuclear missiles at the United States and Japan.
The story focuses on the conflicting interpretation between the second-in-command (Denzel Washington) and his experienced commander (Gene Hackman) of an American nuclear ballistic missile submarine.
