Motivated and directed to the G4, Guarani visits the Chapecoense

Matchday number 27 of the Brasileirão da Série B begins this Tuesday (5), with the duel between Chapecoense and Guarani, at the Condá Arena. The match could momentarily bring Bugre into the G4 and Campinas’ team, among other things, is growing. The squad arrives motivated after beating Ponte Preta in last weekend’s Derbi Campineiro.

Even though Chapecoense are reasonably clear of the relegation zone, a win is important to avoid scares going into the second half of the Série B. The Santa Catarina side are 15th in the table, with 27 points and unbeaten in four matches . Guarani, in turn, is sixth, with 44, thus being able to enter the access zone, if he manages to win again.

On the hosts’ side, the great goal hope is attacking midfielder Bruno Nazário. But striker Henrique Dourado is also expected by many fans. He has yet to score in the two games played for Verdão do Oeste. For Bugre, despite Derik and Bruno Mendes forming an explosive pair in attack, goalkeeper Pegorari is one of the main names. And Guarani’s regularity is such that the team has lost just one of its last 11 games.

The comparison between Chapecoense and Guarani in recent years is characterized by balance. In the first round, the two teams were tied, in a match played at the Brinco de Ouro, by 3 to 3.
