Marvel released, on Monday (4), another preview of the awaited second season of Loki. Launched in 2021, the series holds the title of the most watched Marvel series on Disney+ and officially returns to the platform on October 6th.
In addition to Hiddleston and Di Martino, the new series of episodes will see the return of Owen Wilson (Mobius), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Ravonna) and Jonathan Majors (Kang).
Ke Huy Quan (Oscar winner), Rafael Casal (Blind Spot) and Katie Dickie (The Witch) join the cast.
The new teaser shows Loki joining forces with Sylvie (Di Martino) to defeat a variant of Kang (Jonathan Majors), introduced in the series finale.

Loki season 1 concluded with the series revealing the big bad behind AVT: Kang, The Conqueror (because he’s a variant of the original, he’s called One Who Remains in the series).
With multiple multiverses and open timelines, different realities are available to the character, who quotes: “If you think I’m bad, wait until you see my variations” – confirming that Marvel has even more possibilities to explore.
For the more tuned in, it was clear that Kang is the bad guy for phase 4 of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). The events of the series also tie into other studio productions, such as movies Spider-Man: Never go home (2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), what if (2021), and the most recent, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania (2023), in which the villain is officially introduced.
