The Intern: Why is France 3 only airing one new episode tonight?

Bad news for fans of La Stagiaire starring Michel Bernier: France 3 has decided to change the broadcast rate of the series.

After airing the first two episodes of Season 8 last Tuesday, the channel will offer just one new investigation each night this Tuesday, September 5 at 9:10 p.m.

Consisting of six episodes in total, the eighth unreleased installment of the adventures of Constance Meyer and Judge Boris Delcourt (Antoine Hamel), respectively, will conclude on September 26.

The Intern continues to be a hit on France 3

If France 3 has made such a decision, it is simply because La Stagiaire continues to meet season after season with great success. As proof, the detective series, also hosted by Philippe Lelievre and Nicolas Marie, again averaged 4.16 million viewers at the start of season 8 last week, allowing France 3 to edge ahead of TF1’s The Voice Kids.

While Season 7, which aired last fall, averaged 4.51 million subscribers per hour audience.

In order to ensure good audience scores in the police box on Tuesday evenings, France 3 chose to prolong the pleasure and extend the broadcast of these new episodes as much as possible.

A decision that can be understood, but which may disappoint fans of The Apprentice, who were used to devouring their beloved series with a frequency of two episodes a week. Indeed, this is the first time since the start of the series in 2015 that the channel only broadcasts one new episode every night.

However, fans of La Stagiaire will be able to take comfort in knowing that Michel Bernier and his co-stars will be back for new explorations next year, as Season 9 has already been filmed.

In short, Constance Meyer’s internship is looking more and more like CDI in disguise, and fans shouldn’t complain about it, quite the opposite.
