– Mr. Masterson, you are not a victim. These are the words of Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Charlene Olmedo in sentencing Danny Masterson, convicted of sexual assault and rape.
At the end of a trial spanning several years, the 47-year-old American actor was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of raping two women between 2001 and 2003 at their Hollywood home.
“You like to insult women.”one of his victims, who is on trial but spoke on condition of anonymity, told the defendant. “You’ve lived your life behind a mask as two people. But the real person sits here.”
This is the maximum sentence for this type of crime, but note that the elements did not allow the third woman to plead guilty to alleged acts of the same nature. Danny Masterson was also registered as a sex offender under a judge’s order.
Accused in 2017 when the movement was in full swing #Me tooDanny Masterson has been fired from the cast of Netflix’s The Ranch. He also did not appear on That ’90s Show, the sequel to the sitcom That ’70s Show, in which he was one of the main leads.
