Breaking Bad stars voice their support for the SAG-AFTRA strike. As 9gag reports, Aaron Paul has joined Bryan Cranston, Jesse Plemons and other members of the Vince Gilligan series universe to support the amazing cast.

Residual fees – additional compensation paid to actors when their series or films are cast – is a central issue in the strike. Those payments have allowed stars of long-running sitcoms like Friends and The Big Bang Theory to become among the highest-paid television actors of all time, with their shows often rebroadcast. To be completely honest, I don’t get anything from Netflix for Breaking Bad and that’s crazy to me. I think a lot of these streamers know they’ve been avoiding people by not paying them a fair wage and now it’s time to pay up.

Bryan Cranston He also spoke out saying that Netflix and Sony aren’t the “bad guys” and the actors aren’t trying to portray them.

We do not make them enemies. They are not bad guys. These are people we will all work with at some point. We just want them to see the reality.

According to Deadline, he adds:Once the higher nations return to Earth and reality, I truly feel that we will find common ground and move forward on this path. That’s how we paid our bills… scraps, international scraps, DVD sales and stuff like that, but that’s all gone.

wider movement

The famous Walter White interpreter also confirmed SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher’s recent comments to The Associated Press that this double whammy in Hollywood is fueling a broader movement across the country.

Without organized unions, leaders will continue to pick their pockets. They don’t and never will say, “You know what? I don’t think it’s fair to these people. I will pay them more.” They just don’t do it.
