The recent defeats in the Brazilian Serie C championship weighed on the decision. The contract between club and coach was resolved amicably

In the early hours of this Monday (11), Amazonas announced that coach Rafael Lacerda will no longer lead the team. The recent defeats in the Brazilian Serie C championship weighed on the decision. The contract between club and coach was resolved amicably, we read in the press release released by the Jaguar.

Rafael Lacerda spent 18 months in charge of Amazonas, achieving the club’s important and historic entry into the 2023 Serie C. In total, there were 53 matches under his command, with 29 wins, 14 draws and just 10 defeats .

But the decision is influenced by the terrible performances that the club is producing and the defeats in Serie C, after an overwhelming start. Amazonas comes from two defeats in the final quadrangular of the competition, as well as having lost some matches which culminated in the loss of the leadership in the first phase.
