I would have repeated the plan a bit against Botafogo, with the absence of Pulgar using David (Luiz) as a pivot to enter the line of 5. We faced a team that has a lot of crosses, so the plan included the same reference against Botafogo, but with different names”, he explained.

When asked about the team’s poor performance and whether the fans should believe in the Copa do Brasil victory against Sao Paulo, Sampaoli responded with confidence and optimism, saying that he believes in the team and that the fans should believe in them too.
“Because the team played a great match against Botafogo. Today they played a nervous match. When we play at home we have more inaccuracies. I have a lot of confidence in this final, in playing these two important matches so that the club can win a title. I remain confident,” said the Argentine.
