Movie Quiz: What is this character’s job?

This Wednesday marked Michel Gondry’s big return to cinema, eight years after his last feature Microbe et Gasoil and twenty years after what is arguably his biggest public and critical success to date, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

By showcasing its two stars, Pierre Nin and Blanche Garden, the film risks overshadowing the week’s other French release, Thomas Lilte’s Serious Profession, again with prestigious casting in the presence of Vincent Lacoste, Francois Clouzet and Adele Exarchopoulos.

After Hippocrates, the country doctor, the first year, and the Hippocratic series, which focuses on the devotion of caregivers, Thomas Lilt responds to the otherworldly description of teaching. The filmmaker explains:With Hippocrates, the village doctor, in the first year, the form of a trilogy emerged, almost in spite of me. So (…) I knew that my return to cinema would be around a world other than medicine.“

With serious work, Thomas Lilty reminded many actors with whom he has already filmed. This is the case of Francois Clouse, Vincent Lacoste and William Lebgill. He explains: “It’s like close friends you haven’t heard from in a while. This simple thought was the source of stimulation and inspiration when writing the script. By knowing them so well, it also allows me to incorporate many of them into my characters.“
