It’s official, One Piece is coming back for Season 2. Without the expected hit, the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga attracted enough curious little ones to continue the adventure. And there is still work to be done for the teams. Even if the scripts are ready and they are just waiting until the strike is over to start shooting, there will still be a long post-production work behind it.
One Piece Season 2 won’t hit our screens until 2024 or even 2025. There is, thankfully, something to do to make up for the wait and stay in the world. The manga, which has been published since 1997, has more than 100 volumes. As for the anime, it has exceeded 1000 episodes. Suffice it to say, new fans have plenty of time to read and watch everything while they wait for the Netflix series to return.
What will One Piece season 2 include?
If you want to know about One Piece Season 2, you’ll have to get Volumes 12 to 24, published by Glénat and available almost everywhere in physical and online stores. If you are more lively, it will take a little longer. Go to DNA and Crunchyroll for episodes 62-130.
But beware, some of them are “filler”, meaning they don’t follow the manga’s plot. In other words, you can go through them without worrying. Here are the episode numbers you absolutely cannot miss: 62-67, 70-92, 94-97, 100, 103-130.
What will One Piece season 2 be like?
The first season of One Piece adapted the East Blue saga, as well as the name of the sea that Luffy sails on before picking up his first crew members. During their adventure, they get hold of a map of the Grand Line, where Gol D is theoretically located. Roger’s Treasure.
The second season of One Piece adapts the Alabasta saga. A change of atmosphere for our friends who are about to arrive on the Grand Line. They will help the country (Alabasta) in a civil war and fight Baroque Works, a criminal organization already mentioned in the Netflix series.
During this saga, Luffy meets a famous privateer (same level as Mihawk) in the Oda universe and welcomes two new members to his crew (whom you’ll love!). Great program in perspective!
