from the age of 10

We get a kind of unusual animal friendship film, because unlike Fidèle Vagabond, in which the ending is tragic, here is a starting point, and the more time passes, the better we get, which the youngest will appreciate.

Jock and Bobby

The film shows that the law is strict, but it is the law. Because he has no master and no one pays for his license, Bobby may be integrated into the neighborhood, but he risks ending up in the pound and even losing his life. Sometimes the rules are absurd and children have to get involved to change the situation.

What will they like?

  • Skye Terrier is cute and we want to hug him, he is the most loyal animal.
  • The story may be sad, but Bobby is not alone as he is recruited by the neighborhood kids who help him stay out of trouble.
  • A good-natured rivalry between Mr. Trail the restaurateur and Mr. Brown the cemetery worker.
  • Adults cannot solve a difficult situation because they put their ego in it. Children act and solve problems.

What might be bothering them:

  • The first quarter of an hour is very sad, the old jock is sick, then he is found dead when he wakes up. The dog is bored and we had time to bond with his master. We stop to mourn and see a lot of graves.
  • Bob risks his life in a lawsuit against the city, and the situation seems too difficult to handle. Fortunately, all ends well!
