The weather block will strengthen in the country and temperatures will rise! Storms in the west and south of Rio Grande do Sul
The passage of a cold front will once again favor the formation of rain clouds over Rio Grande do Sul at the beginning of the week. The wind circulation also transports humidity towards SC, PR and MS, but large accumulations are not expected. Heat wave, favoring high temperatures in the South-East, Central-West and North and North-East of Brazil.

Weather forecast for 09/18/2023 – Monday
Southern region
The highlight of this beginning of the week is the passage of a new cold front, which combined with all the circulation of winds, puts Rio Grande do Sul on alert again. Chance of thunderstorms and heavy and persistent rain in the west and south of Rio Grande do Sul. In the capital the sun still manages to peek out, with a lot of cloud cover, but rain can fall at any time of the day. It is only in the mountain region and in the far north of the RS that the shocks still intersperse periods of improvement. Between Santa Catarina and Paraná, a sunny and very hot day. Temperatures rise, especially in the state of Paraná and rain showers return between late afternoon and early evening.
South-eastern region
The highlight continues to be the high temperatures in the Southeast. Lots of sun, heat and stable weather across much of the region. It doesn’t rain in Rio de Janeiro, Vitória, Belo Horizonte and most of Minas Gerais. In the Triângulo de Minas, inland and in the RMSP, lots of sun and high temperatures, but with rain in mid-afternoon. The north coast of the SP, the Vale do Paraíba region and the Serra da Mantiqueira, will continue without rain.
Midwest Region
In the Midwest, warm, moist air will continue to encourage rain clouds to form. In the morning lots of sun and heat in all areas of the Region. In the afternoon it will still rain in the central-south, west and north of MT, throughout the state of MS and in the south of GO. The bangs are isolated, but can occasionally be loud. In DF and northern GO, clear weather and low RH.
North-East Region
The heat continues this Monday throughout the region. On Monday there will be a lot of sunshine in all areas, with rain concentrated on the coastal strip. Isolated showers from Natal to Salvador and temporary rain from coastal MA, north to EC. The hinterland and interior of the Northeast remain unchanged, with a clear climate and low air humidity.
Northern Region
In the northern region, the highlight is muggy weather, heat and heavy rain, with some isolated thunderstorms in the AM and RR hours. In AC and RO, rain may be accompanied by lightning and moderate winds. The central-southern and eastern PA and the state of TO, with stable weather and low RH. Rain occasionally in AP and coastal PA.
