The Good Doctor on TF1: Why is Savannah Welch (Dani) leaving the series already?

Saint Bonaventure Hospital is preparing to lose a member. The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 11, airing this Wednesday, September 20 at 9:10pm on TF1, marks the final appearance of Savannah Welch, who plays resident surgeon Danica “Dani” Powell.

The actor, who joined the cast of the medical series regularly at the beginning of the season, will therefore leave the ranks of the hospital after only 8 episodes. A quick appearance that can be explained by the nature of the actor’s contract. Although her character had a significant problem, Danny’s leg amputation, Savannah Welch signed on as a regular cast member and therefore knew her days on the series were numbered.

So it’s in Season 6 Episode 11 titled “A mere distraction“, where the character says goodbye. After arriving at the hospital, Dr. Powell was often defiant, preferring the young woman to follow her own rules rather than those of the hospital.

Following the events of this episode, Dr. Audrey Lim (who will be able to regain the use of her legs), the head of surgery, is forced to fire a young woman after she attempts a dangerous operation. Oversaw one of his Navy buddies using stolen hospital supplies. Asher Wolke (Noah Galvin), who helped Lim (Christina Chang) during the operation before her arrival, was given a two-month probationary period.

Brandon Laracuente was promoted regularly

Brandon Larracuente, who joined Good Doctor at the start of Season 6 as Dr. Danny Perez, was promoted to series regular after just four episodes of the medical series.

The actor, who we were able to discover in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, will appear in every episode of the 6th season. At this time, we don’t know if the actor will be filming for Season 7. Not updated yet due to strike in Hollywood.

Catch three new episodes of The Good Doctor Season 6 this Wednesday 6 September from 9.10pm on TF1. The first 5 seasons are available on Prime Video and Netflix.
