When and where will One Piece season 2 be released?
One Piece Season 2 was announced by Netflix on September 14th, just two weeks after the series premiered. The producers said the scripts are ready and they are waiting for the actors and writers strike in Hollywood to end before production can begin. It will then take 12 to 18 months of work to film and assemble. Luffy and his crew won’t logically return to our screens until 2025, unfortunately.
What will One Piece season 2 be like?
The writers of One Piece already have a 6-season plan for half of One Piece (which has over 100 volumes and is still coming out). If we follow the story of the manga, our adventurer quickly makes his way to the Grand Line, where Gol d. Roger’s treasure is hidden. But before they do, they have to make a detour to Loguetown, the town where the Pirate King was executed a few years ago. This is where they cross paths with the mysterious character we see from behind in the post-credits scene.
The writers originally intended to include this storyline in Season 1, but didn’t have the budget to shoot 10 episodes.
Who will we see in One Piece Season 2?
All members of the Straw Hat crew will return, namely Inaki Godoi (Luffy), Mackenzie (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji). The appearance of certain secondary characters will depend on the choice of the screenwriters to cross the manga chapters, go faster.
For example, we won’t be seeing Shank (Peter Gadiot) and Buggy the Clown (Jeff Ward) again in Season 2 of the anime, which is being adapted into a Netflix series. As do Cobb (Morgan Davis) and Garp (Vincent Regan). But these characters attracted enough sympathy from subscribers to return for Season 2 of One Piece.
What do we know about One Piece Season 2?
Well, not so much at the moment. But we have our first hint, given by the manga creator himself, Eiichiro Oda. In the video below, the mangaka teased the character’s appearance in One Piece Season 2. Fans know that it is Tony-Tony Chopper who will become the official doctor of the Straw Hat crew. This blue-nosed deer with devil fruit will be a real challenge for the Netflix teams, as it will be completely computer generated.
In Season 2 of One Piece, Luffy, Zoro and the others will usually go to Alabasta, a desert country in a civil war. Here they will fight Baroque Works, a criminal organization mentioned at the beginning of the first season, and meet one of the first Grand Corsairs of their adventures. A wonderful performance in perspective.
Will there be a One Piece season 3?
Netflix hasn’t announced a season 3 for One Piece, but as we’ll explain in this article, the producers have enough to make 12 seasons. An important figure and a goal that is difficult to achieve. The only obstacle they face is the cost of production. It is an extremely expensive TV series (much more than, for example, Game of Thrones).
If viewers don’t tune in for Season 2, which arrives after a very long time, the adventure could end pretty quickly for Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji.
