George’s (Mayel Elhajaoui) life is turned upside down forever in Tomorrow Belongs to Us.

If the policeman didn’t expect to see Vanessa (Victoire Doxer) in the near future, he would not have imagined that she would return with a big surprise. In fact, Tiger Rose’s killer is pregnant by him!

Although the birth of a child is always an upheaval in a person’s life, this is more so for Georges, who never really thought about having a child, much less a murderer.

Between unwanted paternity and those around him shocked by the news, the coming weeks promise to be dizzying for the head of PTS.

Catching up on this surprise-filled narrative arc, Mayel Elhajaoui, Georges’ translator, spoke to Allocine about what’s in store for the next episodes of the TF1 daily soap opera.

Allocine: We didn’t see this coming: Vanessa is pregnant. Were you surprised when you read the script?

Mayel Elhajaoui : Extremely surprised, but this is what makes the everyday beautiful. The writers have such freedom of imagination that they even choose the actors who are there. When you are a spectator or an actor, the most beautiful thing is to be surprised. So yes, I was.

I imagine it was a shock to find out that George was going to be a father?

I didn’t see that coming. So I took it like someone who finds out they’re going to have a baby in real life. But other than that, it’s with a serial killer. In general, we don’t plan to have children with this type of people (laughs).

What state of mind is he in when faced with this ultimately unwanted fatherhood?

He is quite dizzy. This is not at all in the classical understanding of things. He copes with the situation. He wonders what he should do and whether he is dreaming or not. The character gave me real feelings as a person, I even said to myself: “It is impossible !“.

Despite everything, we feel that Georges is beginning to realize that he is going to be a father and worries about the future of this child. Is she already adjusting to the idea of ​​raising this child alone or is she not in the process at all?

He will have to adjust to the situation before planning. In real life, we don’t plan ahead until we rationalize things.

So will it be a long road for George?

It will actually take a while. Anyway, hats off to the writers and TF1 for really trying to make something believable and realistic.

It’s a whole new side of Georges that we’re discovering right now. Do you enjoy continuing to explore new aspects of your character?

Yes! It’s incredible to be surprised at that moment. Even after a few years in the series, we discover things and go in new directions. It is interesting for an actor to play all this.

Even if Georges has already broken the shell a little, we really get the impression that he is going naked with this arch…

completely! It’s not sadomasochism, but it’s still very nice to enjoy and have the ingredients to give the audience something new.

This arch marks your union with Victoire Douxerre. I imagine it’s always nice to see him on set?

This is a real joy. He is a very nice and humane person. The funny thing is, he is the exact opposite of what he projects on screen.

If Georges was shocked to learn that he was going to be a father, Mona (Catherine Benguig) and victory (Solen Hebert) I did not receive the news well. Will they be a support for Georges, or will things get complicated?

Victoire was still kidnapped by Vanessa and almost died because of her. Mona knows he is a psychopath. He never loved her. And when a slave gets someone in trouble, they usually rarely come out unscathed. Given Vanessa’s background, they’d love any real family. They will try to help Georges, but they will not understand and will try to make him react in a way that is sometimes a little cruel.

Could Vanessa’s pregnancy be an obstacle to Georges and Victoire’s reunion? Viewers are still hoping that they will get back together…

Everyone hopes that Victoire and George will be together. Will it be a hindrance? Either way, it won’t make things any easier. In real life, if you’re madly in love with someone and you say, “Listen, I’m coming back, but I have a child“Honestly, I think he will answer you:”Well, we’ll drink some herbal tea and talk about it again in three years.(laughs).

So, no, it doesn’t make it any easier, but love is still one of those rare things that is uncontrollable and unmanageable. And love is something that can surprise you on every level. Will it bring them closer? Will this separate them forever? We’ll see, but the authors have quite a few ideas. In any case, I can confirm that you will be very surprised!

Georges plans to trap Vanessa, but because of Bart, it doesn’t go as planned (Hector Langevin). What can we expect in the next episodes?

Bart felt betrayed by Georges. He is the one who lost his wife to Vanessa and wants to kill her for revenge. The feeling of revenge is always violent. It will be a real big mess. Revenge will be impressive.

So is there expected tension between Georges and Bart?

Georges and Bart will have to explain things and understand things. But it is certain that these are relations that are hardly compatible, because Bart lost his wife to the woman Georges loved. Extremely violent and difficult to accept.

Will the tension between Bart and George affect the slave working at Spoon?

I think Mona is quite empathetic. He understands Bart’s reaction, and George remains his son no matter what. Despite all that, she’s not going to let on that her son is right in front of Bart. He will realize that Bart has a grudge that is completely believable.

Will he play a bit of a buffer role between the two?

He’s going to play a little bit on the clipboard, and at the same time, he totally understands Bart. He understands George a little less.

So maybe things will get complicated between Georges and Mona in the future?

Georges remains Mona’s son, but there is a chance that their relationship will change a little or worsen. But Mona remains a mother. It remains an unbreakable bond.

You’re usually in a much more comic register with Catherine Benguigui. I imagine it’s interesting to play a more tense relationship with him?

This is very interesting because there is a lot of credibility and realism in this relationship. There are many misunderstandings and frictions in the mother-daughter relationship, but love always remains stronger than anything else. We cannot say that a child will never have a disagreement with his parents. Thus, there will be a normal relationship between the son and the mother.

Vanessa will be arrested. Is there any satisfaction that he is finally behind bars?

Yes! George’s fear as a father is that he will be shot because there is a child there. George is always true to his personality. He is a good boy who wants a lot of good around him. He does not want the child to be a victim. He wants him arrested and sent to jail so that he will not only take this child’s life, but also be held accountable in court.

When he becomes a father, George will definitely be especially worried. Who will he rely on? Given that Sarah (Camille Genau) and Roxanne (Raphael Volkoff) You have a small child, can he ask for advice?

There are Sarah and Roxanne, but there are other friendship possibilities. But yeah, he’s going to ask Sarah and Roxanne for advice. There are Karim (Sammy Gharbi) and Commander Constant (Frank Monsin), who also have children and know the problems of being a father.

What do you think, Papa George?

It’s a rollercoaster (laughs)! He has a cane and in the other hand he will have a child. It will be folkloric. But I think he will be very attentive. He will be very sweet and caring. Behind the slave, it will be very funny. She may want to repeat some of the things she did with George and tell him that it worked well when he was younger.

What awaits George in the coming weeks?

He will work on other investigations. The big arch is coming up and we’re just finishing the shoot. George has quite a lot ahead of him. And then there is the continuity of this story. There is a potential meeting and maybe a love story. After so much suffering and anxiety, we have to give bread to this George again (laughs).

Are we to understand that your character will be interested in the investigation that begins with the discovery of Vince’s body on Monday?

Yes. I shot quite a few sections on this arch. For George, work and life go on. He can’t stop living because Vanessa is in the hospital.

At the same time you are performing your show “Mayel en vérité”. Can you tell us a few words about this show?

The idea for the title came about because a lot of people I meet on the street say to me: “It’s funny, I’ve never seen that in real life.“or”It’s funny, I’ve seen you smaller, bigger, less tall, less beautiful, less powerful in real life“. Not everyone says that, obviously, but it’s true, I needed to get back to my first loves: the stage, comedy, humor and stand-up. I felt the need to tell people who I really am.

In real life I am bad at computers, even zero. I’ve had people stop me on the street and ask me to fix problems on their phones because they were worried. I said to them:Guys, the only help I can give you is to go to Google and type in the problem. You will see that there are tutorials“. And it’s amazing! I’m terrible with computers and terrible with new technology, while they make me out to be a computer genius on TV. So it’s funny.

With this show I had to say “No it’s not like that. I am a little boy, born in Amiens Picardy. I have ten siblings, I am originally from MoroccoI needed to tell a little about who I was, tell my story, and tell that my life wasn’t really just about Georges. It is very beneficial because Georges gave me exposure and a good image. When you love someone, it’s also good to know a little more about them. I had to tell them that Mayel is like that in real life. I’m happy because people come out of the show saying, “Funny, I didn’t know that at all“or”It’s funny, they see you differently now“.

I will start the program again from the middle of October. I start with Belgium and return to France at the end of the year. Dates will be announced soon.

I played in A l’instinct for France 2. I also have a small role in the film which is confirmed.
