“As a director, I did not feel connected to the film”Continues Matt Reeves. “The film had a very James Bond feel to it. There was a lot of bravura. It could have been very interesting to someone else, but not to me.”
And Matt Reeves concluded: “I think Benny was not sure if he wanted to make a movie because he eventually stopped playing Batman. Probably because of his personal situation at the time and what he wanted to do.” Ben Affleck, who said he had a “terrible” experience in the Justice League, also said he was not directing Batman, in part because of alcohol-related problems.
Matt Reeves is currently working on a sequel to Batman, again with Robert Pattinson in this role, as well as two spin-off series: one on the penguin character and the other going on in Arkham Asylum. A place that should also have been. At the heart of Ben Affleck’s discontinued version.
