The devoted couple are divorced for the first time since a police investigation. As the investigation progresses, Christopher and Susan will grab Susan’s passion for old westerns and classic movies.
They fantasize about themselves as Hollywood heroes. It is the power of Susan’s extraordinary imagination that protects the couple from the horrors of the real world and their own guilt, but also threatens to destroy them completely.
It was Ed Sinclair, Olivia Coleman’s husband in town, who was focusing on the case when he found it in the newspaper. So much so that the actor and author decided to adapt it and make his first screenplay. So she wrote a role tailored for Olivia Coleman. On the pages of the press kit, the actor shares his enthusiasm for the character:

And he fully plays the card of uncertainty about these two characters, about the sympathetic but killers:
“I think anyone can be a killer if you really push him. Almost anyone. It was so horrible that the sexual abuse that Susan suffered as a child was out of the question. We all know that if you try to imagine that this never happened in your childhood, it will refer to you as an adult.“
Episodes 1 and 2 aired Monday, June 13, at 9pm on Canal +, followed by Olivier Joyard’s documentary “Series: The British Touch” at 10:50 p.m.
