Henry Cavill had everything to be 007 and almost was twice. The first was when he ran to replace Pierce Brosnan. He lost to Daniel Craig, who as we know debuted in “Casino Royale”. The producers of the series, among other reasons, believed that Henry was too young for the role. He became famous as another icon, Superman.

When Craig announced his retirement, Henry was again cited as one of the actors most likely to replace him. But now he faces the opposite obstacle. He is too old for the role.

Although Cavill is only forty years old, the producers of the series are looking for an actor who can commit to at least three or four films. Which is more than a decade. Henry would have been in his mid-fifties at the end of his run as Bond.

But if you want to see Henry in the role of a charming and lethal British spy, here comes “Argylle”, produced by Apple. Starring Dua Lipa, Sam Rockwell and Samuel L. Jackson, it promises to be funnier than “No Time to Die,” Daniel Craig’s farewell to the role of 007.
