Warning, spoilers. It is recommended to watch Star Wars: Ahsoka Episode 6 before reading this article.
It’s graduation time…or almost for Ahsoka! The eighth and final episode of the series, which focuses on the famous Jedi, played by Rosario Dawson, is available on Disney+. But this last chapter, titled “Jedi, Sorcerer, and Warrior,” doesn’t provide all the answers to our questions.
Is it enough to keep the door open for a second season? Chances are… we’re going back to the outcome of this final episode, which contains a nice new surprise for Star Wars fans.
The Empire will respond
In this eighth episode of Ahsoka, we find the Jedi, her apprentice Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and their newfound friend Ezra (Eman Esfand) on Peridia, the planet where the Datmir were born. They try to catch up with Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) and Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), who are preparing to leave the planet for Dathomir with the Great Matriarchs.
To reward Morgan, they make her a Nightsister and give her the Sword of Talzin. In turn, Ezra manages to create a replacement for his dead master, Kanan Jarrus, with a new lightsaber. Afterwards, Ahsoka, Sabine, and Ezra attempt to storm the Chimaera, a Star Destroyer commanded by Grand Admiral Thrawn attached to the Eye of Zion.
But they were attacked by Morgan and the Night Soldiers, captured and turned into zombies of sorts by the Great Matriarchs. After a long battle, Ahsoka kills Morgan and Ezra manages to climb the Chimaera thanks to Sabine. Kanan’s former Padawan Jarrus then goes into hiding and manages to escape to find General Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).
It’s a losing battle for Ahsoka as Admiral Thrawn manages to escape through hyperspace to Dathomir. The Jedi and Sabine then find themselves stranded on Peridea. But they’re being watched by an old acquaintance…Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen)! The latter appears as a Force Spectre, as Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon face him. Will the master and apprentices be reunited?
The war against Thrawn and the Empire he wants to recreate is therefore far from over. Especially since the other protagonists are also worth watching: Shin Hat (Ivana Sakhno) joined the bandits of Peridea and Baylan School (Ray Stevenson) went to the mountain, which is actually made of statues of the gods of Mortis.
The latter are beings from the planet Mortis, on which the presence of force is spectacular, and there are three of them: the Father, who maintains the balance between the light side and the dark side; A daughter, a light force vector, and a son, a dark force vector.

In the animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka have already visited the planet Mortis. Therefore, this sequence of Bailan is not anecdotal and hints at the true motives of the former Jedi who joined the dark side.
But will this conspiracy last? Nothing is less certain, especially since Ray Stevenson, an interpreter at the Beilan School, sadly passed away last May. The first episode of Ahsoka is also dedicated to him. How will they continue this character’s legacy?
That’s why this last episode of Ahsoka doesn’t really feel like the end, because it still leaves a lot of questions in the minds of the public and it doesn’t close all of its narrative arc. So, will the Star Wars franchise get a second season?
Is Ahsoka Season 2 Possible?
We know that since Star Wars Celebration, Dave Filoni will be putting together a huge crossover between the Star Wars franchises on Disney+, leading up to the movie that ends the MandoVerse. Ahsoka’s adventures must therefore end in this feature film. But before they find the Mandalorian and Boba Fett, the Jedi must do their part to be ready to face Thrawn.
So it would make sense for the Ahsoka series to be renewed for a second season to continue the adventures, just as The Mandalorian will continue with a fourth season that has already been written but has been delayed for a while due to the writers’ strike. It’s over. To be over.
As of now, neither Disney+ nor Lucasfilm have made any official announcements about a potential Ahsoka Season 2, but a publication error spotted by fans and io9 warned them. The official Star Wars accounts posted a statement on social media to change the final episode of the series, with the first post referring to “series finale”, meaning the series finale.
I know you can do it, Ahsoka.
Tea #Ahsoka The season finale is now just on @DisneyPlus.

These posts were then deleted and replaced with new posts that replaced “series finale” with “season finale”, meaning the season finale. An important nuance that therefore suggests that episode 8 is indeed the season finale and that another season may well see the light of day.
In any case, the teams of the series have already mentioned the possibility of a second season if it is successful, and Rosario Dawson is ready to don his costume again in this case, as he explained to the magazine. Empire :
“We joke about it, but I’m trying to get positive vibes because I feel like I’ve helped Dave Filoni make this project happen. So I’m ready. I’m excited. I’m getting physically ready for season two and beyond. I wouldn’t mind at all.”
All episodes of Star Wars: The Ahsoka Series are available on Disney+.
