After Star Wars: Ahsoka, what’s the next series to watch on Disney+?

Ahsoka has now ended and many are wondering what the next Star Wars series will be on the Disney+ platform. Which program follows the adventures of Anakin Skywalker as a Padawan?

Absent from all nine Star Wars films (except for a voice cameo in The Rise of Skywalker), Ahsoka Tano is still considered a major character in the franchise’s universe, but also one of the most cherished by fans.

Conceived by George Lucas during The Clone Wars animated series, then appearing in Rebels, Ahsoka Tano made her debut as Rosario Dawson in Season 2 of The Mandalorian and then The Mandalorian. In the Boba Fett book.

Trained in the use of the Force by Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars, though the latter left the Jedi Order shortly before Emperor Palpatine’s Order 66 was launched. Wearing white lightsaber, a symbol of her neutrality, the young woman remains a valuable ally in the rebellion against the Galactic Empire.

The Connected Star Wars Universe

We know: The Mandalorian TV series, Boba Fett and Ahsoka’s book are all directly related and will soon cross over into a feature film orchestrated by Dave Filoni, which George Lucas himself appointed as its worthy successor.

But the next Star Wars series, which fans can find on Disney+, won’t have any direct ties to Ahsoka. This new production titled The Acolyte takes place many years before the prequel story and therefore will explore a whole new part of the Star Wars timeline on screen!

Already filmed, this series, which will also have the peculiarity of exploring the point of view of the Sith (enemies of the Jedi), joins its actors Daphne Keane (Logan’s X-23), Jodie Turner-Smith (The Neon Demon), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix Saga) or even Squid Game star, Lee Jung-jae.

The new Star Wars series The Acolyte can be seen in 2024 exclusively on Disney+.
