The good news is that the two One Piece showrunners are more than willing to cast Jamie Lee Curtis in season two. in the interview DeadlineMatt Owens made some of his revelations:
“From the moment he said he was a fan, we told ourselves we had to make sure we had him in the series. So we started dating him. When he won the Oscar, the writers sent Dr. Kureha a figurine that read, “Congratulations on the statue. Here’s another one to put next to it. I hope to talk to you soon. “The strike is still going on, but once it’s over, I’ll invite you to dinner to discuss it. We’re definitely going to do that because we’re writing a role for him right now. We really want him to play in the second season.”
It remains to be seen when the Hollywood actors’ strike will end and when this meeting will take place. If the role is almost bought for him, it’s also worth considering whether the negotiations between Netflix and the actor (salary, schedule, etc.) will be successful.
