Mathieu Kasowitz: Who will replace him with Gerard Butler in the series adapted from the film saga?

Last May, the American website Deadline announced that the film series “Autumn“(“It wasin the original version) directed by Gerard Butler, will become a TV series written by Howard Overman, creator of Misfits fame, and directed by Oded Raskin (False Flag).

Set to air on Canal+ in France, the fiction called Paris Has Fallen is to be directed by Mathieu Kasowitz, who is no stranger to spy series as he played the title character in the hit series The Bureau of Legends created by Eric Roshant.

But according to Satellifacts, the series now stars actor Tewfik Jalabi, who we’ve seen in Oussekine, Coeurs Noirs and Engrenages.

The casting change preceded the serious motorcycle accident Mathieu Kasowitz suffered last September. According to our colleagues, Emmanuel Bercot (Mon Roi) has also joined the cast and will play the role of the President of the Republic for this occasion.

Dropped in Paris stars Tewfiq Jalabi as Vincent, an agent in charge of protecting a French minister who is targeted by a terrorist group led by a certain Jacob. He is assisted in his mission by MI6 agent Zara to ensure the politician’s protection as much as possible.

However, they quickly find themselves at the center of a much bigger conspiracy than they can imagine. They suspect that one of their colleagues was passing on information to Jacob, a criminal who always managed to stay one step ahead of them in his quest to bring down Paris.

Gerard Butler, who played US Secret Service agent Mike Bunning in the films, has not been announced in the casting for this TV adaptation, but is not out of the question for a cameo.
