“The vital heart that beats behind each season.”
The protagonist of ‘Stranger Things’, David Harbour, has shared an emotional tribute to his co-star Winona Ryderafter their characters, Hopper and Joyce, were reunited in the season four finale, part 1.
Sharing a photo of the two of them on his Instagram, Harbor was full of praise for Ryder.
“The vital heart that beats behind each season of ‘Stranger Things’ is Joyce and Winona Ryder’s impressive performance over the past 7 years”, wrote. “Joyce will save her son, all the Hawkins kids, her old friend Hopper, and her dying magnet from her kitchen magnets.”
Harbor’s Instagram Has Been Filled With Posts About ‘Stranger Things’ to keep us busy until the final two episodes of season four arrive, including the reveal that she originally asked to film her scenes for season four during production on season three. But why?
“At the end of season three I told the Duffer brothers that we should shoot the flashbacks after the ‘death’ because he was going to lose weight and there would be continuity issues,” he explained.
“But they hadn’t been written yet. Luckily, we had the miraculous make-up artist Barrie Gower who came in and nailed the face of a ‘plush Hopper’. I hate prosthetics, but Barry and the team made it as painless as possible.”
The last episode of the fourth season is going to last a whopping two and a half hours, giving it a special “last episode” value. However, it has already been confirmed that the series will end with its fifth season (and that, apparently, left Netflix executives in tears, according to the Duffers), so who knows if they will surpass the already epic length of the episodes that, in their final season, they will continue to premiere on a block basis.
‘Stranger Things 4′ part 2 will premiere on Netflix next July 1.
