‘Stranger Things 4’: David Harbor pays tribute to Winona Ryder and the embrace of Hoper and Joyce

“The beating heart behind every season of ST is Joyce and Winona Ryder’s impressive performance over the past 7 years…”

If there is something that usually alleviates the absence of ‘Stranger Things’ between seasons, it is David Harbour’s Instagram. Despite being one of the veterans, the actor who perfectly embodies the Hawkins sheriff speaks with more ease, humor and wit than usual in the series. Sometimes he seems like he does it as if he were just another fan, other times it seems like he measures his words as the best marketing department to unleash the imagination and theories of the fans.

Recall that season 3 of ‘Stranger Things’ ended with the dramatic death of Hopper. Of course, the series did not take more than a few months to confirm that the tough guy and adoptive father courage had survived and was in the USSR. Therefore, one of the main plots of season 4 of the series has developed in Russia. It all stemmed from his escape plan, which included a spectacular prison break and the payment of a ransom by Joyce and Murray. But, as we already know, everything goes wrong in the huge chapter 4, ‘Dear Billy’, and the situation is even worse. Hopper has to face a Demogorgon while Joyce and Murray come to his rescue by infiltrating the prison.

After much dramatic twist, episode 7, which ends Part 1 of this fourth season, closes several plots. We still don’t know how the hell Hopper, Murray and Joyce are going to escape the USSR, cross the Iron Curtain and reach American soil. However, Hopper survives the Demogorgon and embraces a Joyce who believes him to be alive. Hopper and Joyce are more than just friends, that much is clear. However, the series has not yet given us the expected kiss of the couple from the most mature faction of the series.

But who has no doubts about the love he feels for Winona Ryder is David Harbor himself, who has used the image of the hug to cover his partner and friend, Winona Ryder, the eternal mother of courage Joyce, with praise.

The beating heart behind every season of ST is Joyce and Winona Ryder’s impressive performance over the past 7 years. Joyce will save her son, all the Hawkins kids, her old friend Hopper, and the withering magnetism of her funny kitchen magnets.

We also hope and believe that it will be Joyce who will save them all again. Of course, we still don’t know how. For that we will have to wait for the premiere of ‘Stranger Things 4: Part 2’, the next July 1.
