Tomorrow is ours: “Bruno will go a little too far,” reveals Kevin Levy

The life of Bruno Paoletti (Kevin Levy) is strewn with pitfalls in “Tomorrow Belongs to Us.”

By getting involved in drug trafficking, the latter once again fell into quite a pickle. If he was hoping to make a quick buck, the death of Vince (Edward Collin) and repeated threats from Joris Ferrell put Bruno in a real nightmare.

With Nathan’s (Adher) life in danger, what will Bruno do to protect him?

Kevin Levy, Bruno’s translator Kevin Levy, who met Bruno’s translator, spoke to Allocine Mic about what’s in store for his character and the rest of the Paoletti clan during the next episodes of the TF1 daily soap opera. .

Allociné: You joined the cast of Tomorrow Belongs To Us last January. What attracted you to the role of Bruno?

Kevin Levy : What I like is its duality. He’s someone a bit lost with a hard, even dark past, and at the same time he’s quite lively, funny and dynamic, like Nathan can be. So there is this similarity. The game is very interesting because everything changes very quickly in this character. These are what we call bon vivants. There is a dark side and a pleasant side.

Was your character originally going to stay on the show?

No, but it was still a possibility.

You have great on-screen chemistry with your fictional children. How is the cooperation with Ader and Lou Noir ?

He is special. That is, what is on the screen exists in life. Adher and I have the same energy. We are a little crazy, we act silly and laugh a lot. And Lou, she keeps us calm. He is gentle and patient. True, we immediately beat him.

Bruno is currently at the center of a drug-dealing intrigue. Are you happy that the writers dedicated an arc to your character and Paoletti’s family?

I am happier! It’s amazing! When I read the script, I sent a message to the production because it was so well written. They fit my personality. It’s very interesting to get into this duality, to go from humor to something more dramatic. It’s special to play this.

Bruno is currently in trouble as Joris Ferrell, the trafficker at the head of the network, is now threatening to kill Nathan unless he pays him €10,000 for the lost goods. What will your character do to protect his son’s life?

He is going to do stupid things (laughs). She will try to get away from him because she has unconditional love for her son, even if she can’t show it to him. He keeps trying but is clumsy. He’s going to do what he does best: bullshit. When he’s in trouble, Bruno is a character who does everything he can to get back at him. Regardless, it comes from a good feeling. Bruno Paoletti has a really good track record. At least I try to give it a shot.

Nathan will be arrested by the police soon. Is Bruno hiding behind this arrest? Did she do it to protect her son from Joris Ferrell, the drug addict?

There are quite a few twists and turns in this arc. This is an arch that is quite short compared to others. We traveled a lot and it was quite dynamic. All I can tell you is that his goal is to protect his son. Although inconvenient, this is its main purpose.

Nathan realized that his father was in trouble. What will he do to help her?

Nathan wants to help his father as their relationship improves. He realized that as soon as Bruno drinks, something is wrong. He wants to help, but Bruno doesn’t want to get him in trouble. There is a contradiction between the two. Obviously, the mess that Bruno causes will affect their relationship and Nathan’s past will resurface. If it was a rosy past, it’s easy for a child to forgive a father who does stupid things, but when it happens again, it goes back to his youth and old demons.

Could this story tear them apart once again?

This can actually destroy what they have spent time building. All I can tell you is that Bruno Paoletti will go a little too far.

slave (Catherine Benguig) is very attached to Nathan and doesn’t hesitate to step in when things get out of hand between him and his father. Will he add his two cents?

Mona is never far from Nathan. She is his adoptive mother in a way. A slave is a wolf. As soon as he shows his teeth, he goes right into it. That is what is beautiful about this relationship.

Could one day be a slave with Bruno?

They are a little bit like cats and dogs, but they are a little bit together. Since these two characters have a sense of humor, we feel it could be done, but they tickle each other. On the other hand, you shouldn’t touch Nathan.

This plot also marks the return of Julie. What role will he play in this story?

In his evil, Bruno unfortunately takes his children with him and Julie becomes involved in this ark. It will be from all sides (laughs).

I can imagine Bruno risking prison after this arch…

When it comes to drugs and selling them, that usually means going to jail.

Bruno recently befriended Gilles (Laurent Gamelon), Alex (Alexander Brasser) and Sylvain (Arno Henriette). I imagine they will eventually find out that Bruno is involved in this trafficking and that he is indirectly connected to the attack on Alex as well as the arrest of Gilles. Will they forgive him?

In friendship we can forgive, but sometimes we can’t. It depends on the people. Some have grudges and some don’t. So we are going to find out if the friendship is strong or not. I can say that a wonderful relationship has developed between us. It’s a joy to play with these actors.

What awaits Bruno after this arch? Will it finally get back on track?

I think what he just experienced might shock him. He could definitely get back on track. But I still think that when you want to do well, there is always something that goes wrong somewhere (laughs). That’s why this character is rich. We feel that he wants to be good and on the right path, but this is too much for him.

On the heart side, could Bruno find love soon?

I really think he could, yes. I think that will calm him down. After that, he should be a little less heavy handed with women. He will have to learn to be a little different in flirting. It’s a lot of work (laughs).

Do you have any special wishes for Bruno? Do you wish the writers would delve a little deeper into the Paoletta family history, for example?

True, we want to know the past of the Paoletta family and what really happened to Julie’s mother and Nathan’s mother. True, it would be quite interesting to bring it up. Of course, I’m not going to give advice to the writers, because they are quite strong, but I think and hope that they have an idea about Bruno. Anyway, I am always impressed with the scripts and dialogues of this series. It’s amazing!

At the same time you are performing your show “Cocu”. Can you tell us a few words about this show?

It’s all in the title. It’s about loyalty and betrayal. This is a small wind of freedom in a somewhat sclerotic society in which we dare not talk much about angry topics. This is certainly not a preachy show. Everyone does what they want, but I wanted to talk about it. Love stories have always fascinated me. This is specific. We swear loyalty to each other and at the same time it is difficult.

For the first time, I wanted the boy to accept the robbery without judgment. I find that women have the courage to say it, unlike guys who are quite timid about it. After what I experienced, I wanted to tackle this topic, which was not really covered in the show. On December 11, I am playing at the Théâtre des Nouvelles in Paris.

Do you have any other projects you can tell us about?

I shot a TV movie with the army, which is broadcast on France 2. I play a policeman. We are far from Bruno Paoletti (laughs). It was an incredible shooting experience. I learned a lot from the army. It’s a wonderful story of shooting with incredible people. We learn a lot by filming with the army. I’m very proud of this project and can’t wait for its release.
