The Gen-V series expands the universe of The Boys and follows young students with extraordinary abilities at Godolkin University. If this spin-off gets people talking on social media – especially because of its raunchy scenes – the Prime Video platform has yet to confirm a second season. The audience is not yet public.
However, the idea machine is already underway from the creators and screenwriters.
In Interview granted TheWrapShow host Michele Fazekas explains:We don’t have an officially ordered season yet. We’ve gathered the writers to talk about what’s possible, so we’re optimistic..”
The other showrunner, Eric Kripke, in turn confirmed that a session has begun between the writers for the second season:
“We’ll have to see how the series does first and know if it’s being watched and if Amazon is happy with it. The fact that Amazon paid Michele to start writing Season 2 is a good sign. So you know what they say, fingers crossed.”
With Amazon Studios VP Vernon Sanders on hand, this writing session kicked off to preview what Season 2 might look like. In comments reported by TheWrap, he gives some details on the early numbers:
“In the first five days, we have incredible scores, both in the US and internationally. It’s 2023 and the Gen V is in our top 3 purchases.”
It is enough to be optimistic to continue the adventures of a new generation of superheroes.
Gen V is available on Prime Video.
