Poll: fans rate Leila Pereira’s management at Palmeiras as terrible

Palmeiras fans have given their verdict and evaluated Leila Pereira’s tenure as president of the Palestinian club. According to the results of a survey conducted by Gazeta Esportiva, the majority has shown that they believe that the management of the executive is, so far, terrible.

27.7% chose this option. 24.7% rated the management as weak, while 20.3% rated the Leila era as excellent. 14.1% opted for the “good” classification and 13.2% for the “regular” classification.

Leila Pereira’s recent press conference added further fuel to the fire behind the scenes at Palmeiras. Verdão’s representative addressed controversial issues such as hiring, fierce criticism of organized fans, management and conflict of interest in Alviverde.

Some sentences, in particular, aroused the ire of the infamous inhabitants of Palmeiras. Leila, stating, among other controversial phrases, that the club had “no merit of its own” for its stay in the first division in 2014, provoked a response from former president Paulo Nobre.

“Palmeiras has suffered a huge attack from those who have the duty, morally and professionally, to defend it. I don’t know if you will succeed in achieving this objective. Probably not! Your arrogance and arrogance have culminated in the attempt to rewrite the facts, saying that they simply didn’t do it, we were relegated in 2014 with the help of another club. This speech of yours does not surprise me, given that you know almost nothing about our sorrows and glories, since you discovered that Palmeiras it has been around for less than ten years,” he said.

Under Leila’s presidency, Alviverde won five titles: Recopa Sul-Americana (2022), Brasileirão (2022), Supercopa do Brasil (2023), Campeonato Paulista (2022 and 2023).
