Netflix has launched another of its famous romantic comedies: Love is in the Air, a production written and directed by Adrian Powers, with Caera Bradshaw and Katharine E. McPhee also as screenwriters. The film was shot in Queensland, Australia, and stars Delta Goodrem, a famous Australian singer, and Joshua Sasse, best known for his role in The Dark Army (2013) and the Galavant series (2015-2016). Set on the Queensland coast, the story follows Dana Randall, an airline pilot committed to protecting the family business: a non-profit company that helps the local community. Meanwhile, William, a cold London financial analyst, is sent to take care of the company’s accounting. The two end up falling in love, but what Dana doesn’t know is that William is there to shut down her business and get her out of the aviation industry.
The main characters Dana and William are played by Delta Goodrem (The Kings of Galera) and Joshua Sasse (Galavant), the cast of Love is in the Air also includes other names such as Roy Billing (The Last Getaway) as Jeff, Steph Tisdell (Total Control) as Nikki, Simon McLachlan (The Pacific) as Heath and Daniela Pizzirani as Serena.
The film, despite making it into Netflix’s Top 10 Movies in its first few days of release, didn’t have such an impressive rating on review sites. On IMDb it only achieved a score of 5.6, while on Rotten Tomatoes it achieved 25% approval from critics, but received only 8 reviews, and 57% approval from audiences, but had less of 50 votes.
