After more than a year of waiting, TF1 is finally airing the final two episodes of New Amsterdam Season 3. Remember: in December 2021, the channel canceled the finale of the medical series, hosted by Ryan Eggold, to offer a key interview with Emmanuel Macron, called “Where is France going?“, in which the president answered questions from Audrey Crespo-Mara and Darius Roshbin and also discussed the results of his five-year term.
At the time, the front page did not announce the new date for the New Amsterdam sequel. Therefore, this Wednesday, October 18, starting at 9:10pm, TF1 will be bringing you episodes 13 and 14 of season 3, followed by the first episode of season 4.
What happened before the break?
New Amsterdam Season 3 Episode 12 (which is inspired by a true story), which aired on December 8, 2021 in France, was full of twists and turns. The hospital actually had a chemical leak after part of the ceiling collapsed.
In order to slow down the spread of the product, Max then searched for the source of the leak and tried in vain to stop it. Unfortunately, in his heroic gesture, he lost his sight.
A distraught Helen (Freema Agyeman) drags Max into a sanitizing shower, where she furiously washes him and shakes him until he passes out.
While Max’s chances of recovery seemed very slim, no method was implemented to combat the poisoning, Floyd (Joko Sims) still managed to save his eyes and poison himself thanks to a new protocol.
Max woke up a few hours later with Ellen at his bedside, but he was probably having a hard time remembering what happened in the shower. The doctor finally remembered. “You were there, weren’t you?he asked before addingExcuse me. Sometimes I just need a little time to remember what’s most important: you“.
After this beautiful declaration, Elena and Max were about to kiss when a phone call interrupted this rapprochement that fans have been waiting for. Max then learned that his relatives wanted to regain custody of Luna. It was on this cliffhanger that this episode ended.
Will Max and Elena finally get together?
Unfortunately for New Amsterdam fans, we’ll have to wait until we see the two lovers pair up. Following the events of episode 12, Max will begin a legal battle to retain custody of his daughter.
On the other hand, Elena will go to London to take care of her sick mother. The Season 3 finale, which takes place a month after the events of the previous episodes, will see the two friends grow closer, but are they really ready to start a new relationship? Answer in Season 4 of New Amsterdam, which will be the final season of the series.
