It All Begins Here: What’s in store for Tuesday 24 October 2023 episode 780 [SPOILERS]

Lysandro is confronted with painful memories

At Double A, David finishes setting up, slightly nervous. Hippolytus comes to check: he is flawless. So he decided to apply for an internship at a high-end hotel in Saint-Barthelemy in July 2024. Davit is worried because he had already planned to take a cooking course with Deva. Hippolytus admits that they are leaving together and reminds David that this is a golden opportunity. He gives her a day to think.

David tells his girlfriend and friends about it, but he doesn’t know if they will agree or not. Deva promises to support any decision. On the other hand, Leonardo insists that David should not miss such an opportunity.

In Double A, Lisandro oversees the show with Hippolyte during a classroom lesson. Du Chesnay notes that the students do not use the principle of priority, that is, they serve the older customers first. The students explain that they were not taught this principle. Hippolytus then accuses Lysandro of training them badly and having to start over.

Later, Rose notices that Lisandro is on edge. The latter admits that the presence of a mentor makes him nervous. While Rose is convinced that Hippolytus is proud of her, Lysandro tells her what happened in class.

Meanwhile, in the locker room, Leonard and Lionel tease David. The latter is still in the dark. But her friends forced her to accept Du Chesney’s proposal.

So David finds Butler in the park to tell him he accepts the proposal. In return, Hippolytus undertakes to continue his training so that he will be perfectly fit for the coming summer.

In the evening, Hippolyte is invited to Lysandro’s house for dinner. He takes the opportunity to thank her for bringing him to the Institute. He has high hopes for David. At the same time, Esteban drops the knife on the ground and refuses to pick it up when his father asks him to. After that, Hippolytus puts his hand on the boy’s shoulder and forces him to obey. This gesture then triggers a series of flashbacks in Lisandro: he remembers training with Hippolytus and the blows he received from him…

Emmanuel will disappoint Constance

Constance asks Emmanuel to join her group to take part in the big challenge day, this famous obstacle in the mud. She sees that her husband hesitates. So he advises her to think it over and talk later.

Once in his office, Emmanuel quickly comes to the conclusion that he doesn’t want to do this race at all. But he never dares to tell the truth to his wife. So much so that when he finds it a little later, he claims that his hands are tingling due to an attack of multiple sclerosis.

Constance realizes that she will not be able to participate in the race. However, he asks her to join him in training, because sports were never contraindicated in this case. Emmanuel claims that his doctor advised him against it. Constance then thinks it’s just a postponement, considering doing the race next year.

Later, Constance watches her husband cook in the studio. Seeing that his hands are not shaking, he realizes that he lied to escape. She takes him to her own game until he finally confesses. Frustrated, Constance plans to race alone and dedicate the victory to her cowardly husband.

Suleiman learns Carla’s story

For Hortense’s class, the first years have to imagine a recipe without salt. Carla makes salmon papillote. On tasting, Hortense notes spice and aromatic herbs, but the overall remains mild, giving it a score of 9/20.

Hortense then moves on to Souleymane’s dish: a Haitian specialty that her biological mother made for her. Her dish not only follows the directions, but also tells an exciting story. So Hortense gives it a score of 18/20. Carla then complains to Berenica and accuses Suleiman of making people cry in the cottages to get good grades.

In the dressing room, Karla does not shy away from expressing her opinion to Suleiman. She accuses him of having lied to poor Hortense. Defensively, Suleiman replies that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Even though she told the truth, Carla finds it shameful to pretend to be a victim.

Later, Suleiman complains to Carla Berenica. He protects his friend by saying that they have more in common than he thinks. Indeed, Berenice reveals to her that Carla was adopted as well.

In the cafeteria, Suleiman apologizes to Carla for being too quick to judge. He admits that he knew her family history. Carla replies that their stories have nothing to do with each other, because unlike Suleiman, who has happy memories with her mother, Carla never knew her own. Then he asks the young man to let him work.
