Coming in at number two behind Elite a few days after its release, Bodies continues its good momentum. Popular with subscribers, this British dark science fiction series follows four policemen in four different eras as they investigate the same case.
At the end of 8 episodes, they tried, each in their own way, to prevent a terrible tragedy in London. But the last minutes of the series showed that they were not really successful and that they were delayed. What makes you wonder if a sequel is possible, even if it is considered a mini-series by Netflix. Asked about a possible Season 2 of Bodies Radio TimesIts showrunner Paul Tomlin kept his tongue in his pocket:
“We’d be suicidal if we cut anything out, but I think we’ve done that shit in front of the audience. It was really important for Netflix not to betray the audience with a concept like this and say, ‘We’re going. Delaying the series because we all have bills to pay.”
“It’s something that wears me out as a viewer. We’re not idiots, we left the door open at the end and we have an idea. But I love mini-series, you can watch them knowing there’s going to be an ending.”
There is no season 2 for Bodies, even if Netflix occasionally renews the miniseries. It will depend on his international success. A week before its release, the English thriller is doing quite well and is in the top ten in 27 countries. We’ll see if that proves to be the case over the weeks, or if the shock subsides quickly.
