Man is run over and robbed less than 1 hour after suffering another robbery in Fortaleza

Security cameras record the second robbery, in which the victim was left in his underwear by the bandits

A man was robbed twice on the same day in Fortaleza (CE), in the early hours of the morning last Tuesday, 24. The security cameras recorded the second robbery, in which he was also run over. The time shown in the documents indicates that the situation occurred around 5 in the morning.

It all happened within an hour. The man, who did not want to identify himself, had already been robbed when he was approached by a trio who were in a white vehicle.

The bandits hit the man, who fell and was threatened by one of them with a knife. He, who had nothing left to give, gave them his motorbike helmet which had already been taken from him previously. To prove that he did not have his cell phone with him, which was also stolen, the man had to undress in front of the criminals.

In an interview with TV Verdes Maresaffiliate of Rede Globothe victim looked at the situation from a slightly more positive perspective.

“I ran from the gunshots and I ran from the stabbing, it was a release,” he said, explaining that in the first robbery he had a gun pointed at him.

The man regretted losing his motorbike, his work tool as an app delivery worker. “I was a ride-hailing app driver for 9 months and that was my only source of income. I have filed a police report and will wait,” he said.

The Civil Police of Ceará said it was investigating the case.
