Petrobras may slightly exceed its oil production target this year, Executive Director of Engineering, Technology and Innovation Carlos Travassos said at an event in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.
According to him, above-target production in 2023 would be “important and symbolic” in the year the company turns 70.
He pointed out that Petrobras’ operational performance is already at the upper end of its 2023 forecast range.
“When we estimate production, we have a margin… We are at the edge of the positive range, at the upper end,” he told reporters.
“There was no acceleration strategy, what there is is a business consequence.”
