Bia Haddad will end the year in the top 10

The Brazilian will benefit from the failure to count points for the Czech Krejcikova

Beatriz Haddad Maia, currently 19th in the world, will once again be in the top 10 in a new ranking to be released this Monday. The information comes from the portal TennisBrazil something confirmed by the WTA, which regulates women’s tennis.

The Brazilian would move up to 11th place with added points for the WTA Elite Trophy, in Zhuhai, China, reaching 2855 points. Czech Barbora Krejcikova, currently 10th, chose to be a reserve at the WTA Finals in Cancun, Mexico, thus giving up the points she earned the previous week in Zhuhai, but she did not enter the group stage of the tournament. She was supposed to play two matches or win one in the competition, which ultimately didn’t happen.

The ranking update will take place next Monday, the 6th.
