Despite Jennifer Lawrence’s enthusiasm to return to The Hunger Games, we won’t see the actress as Katniss Everdeen again. During an interview for the portal YahooNina Jacobson, producer of the new feature film in the series “The Hunger Games: Song of Birds and Serpents”, said that there are no plans for the character’s return to the saga and expectations for this to happen are low.
Why doesn’t Katniss return in The Hunger Games?
The director of the work, Francis Lawrence, agreed with Nina and also said that he would welcome the return of the star of the latest films:
What I’ve always loved is that Suzanne often writes these things because she has a thematic idea she wants to explore. So I think if for some reason she had some thematic idea that made sense to tell another Katniss story, I’d be all in, and so I’m sure Jen would be too. But in reality everything comes from the theme, from the idea and from Suzanne.
